For the first time ever, Knightly News also participated in the Sweet Sixteen Film competition at the STN Convention in Los Angeles. Each team was given the same movie title, “The Future’s So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades”, and a pair of sunglasses that must be integrated into the film. Similar to the broadcast competition, the team was given only 16 hours to write, shoot, and produce their film.
Knightly News placed first in the nation in the Sweet Sixteen Broadcast competition at the Student Television Network Convention in Los Angeles, California. The entire episode focuses around the word Devotion.
Knightly News traveled last week to Los Angeles, California, for the Student Television Network’s 10th Anniversary Convention. Thousands of students from around the nation met to improve their video production skills and compete in a variety of contests. Knightly News participated in the Sweet Sixteen competition, in which teams are given 16 hours to produce an entire broadcast show around a focus word. The new iPhone 5 is officially out, but there are many mixed feelings about its new design and features. Knightly News Reporters Emily Merriam and AJ Mittal visited the Apple Store to find out more about these reactions.
Kelsey San Martin, 17, has been jumping, swinging, and tumbling her way to the top of Balcony Gymnastics, earning a well deserved spot on the level ten team. At age 7 she discovered she had a natural talent for the sport, and has been doing it ever since. Wake up, go to school, then attend practice, has been a daily routine for her, progressing steadily throughout the years. Kelsey told Knightly News reporters, “I can’t imagine my life without it.” However three months ago, her promising gymnastics career was turned upside down, and she was forced to imagine life without it….
